Your Right to Delete Data
At LockFlix, we respect your right to control your personal information. You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data at any time, subject to certain legal obligations and retention requirements.
What Data Can Be Deleted
When you request data deletion, we will remove:
- Your account information (name, email, phone number)
- Profile information and preferences
- Content you have uploaded (photos, videos, files)
- Transaction history and payment records (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Communication history and support tickets
- Usage data and analytics associated with your account
Data That May Be Retained
Certain information may be retained for legal, security, or operational reasons, including:
- Financial records required for tax and accounting purposes
- Transaction records required to comply with legal obligations
- Data necessary to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements
- Information required to prevent fraud and ensure security
- Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot identify you personally
- Backup copies that will be deleted in accordance with our backup retention schedule
How to Request Data Deletion
Option 1: In-App Request
You can request data deletion directly through the LockFlix app:
- Open the LockFlix app
- Go to Settings
- Navigate to Account & Privacy
- Select “Delete My Account and Data”
- Follow the prompts to confirm your request
Option 2: Email Request
You can also request data deletion by contacting us via email:

Please include the following information in your email:
- Your full name
- Email address associated with your account
- Username or account ID
- A clear statement that you wish to delete your data
Verification Process
To protect your privacy and security, we may need to verify your identity before processing your deletion request. We may ask you to:
- Confirm your account credentials
- Provide additional identifying information
- Respond to a verification email
Processing Timeline
Once we receive and verify your deletion request:
- We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 3 business days
- Your account will be immediately deactivated
- Data deletion will be completed within 30 days
- Backup copies will be deleted within 90 days
- You will receive confirmation once the deletion is complete
Consequences of Data Deletion
Please be aware that deleting your data will result in:
- Permanent loss of access to your account
- Deletion of all your uploaded content
- Loss of transaction history and earnings records
- Inability to recover your account or data
- Termination of any active subscriptions or services
Important:
Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please ensure you have downloaded any content or information you wish to keep before submitting your deletion request.
Alternative Options
If you’re not ready for permanent deletion, consider these alternatives:
- Account Deactivation: Temporarily disable your account without deleting data
- Privacy Settings: Adjust what information is visible to others
- Selective Deletion: Delete specific content or information rather than your entire account
Third-Party Services
If you have connected LockFlix to third-party services (payment processors, social media platforms), you may need to separately request data deletion from those services. We will delete data within our control but cannot control third-party data retention practices.
